The annual Boyne Tannum Hookup is one of Australia’s largest family fishing competitions, with over $250,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs.
All the action happens from the 29th of April to the 1st of May. There’ll be fishing, cooking shows and filleting demos each day, the live fish tank, competition weigh in’s and major prize draws, followed by fireworks on Sunday evening.
Back by popular demand is the bounty hunters competition, where organisers release specially tagged fish into the Gladstone Harbour prior to the event. These fish carry a bounty of $5000.
