Sandstone Point Hotel

Sally caught up with Executive Chef from Sandstone Point Hotel, Chris Houliaras, for a visit to the Shorncliffe waterfront to source seafood direct from the trawler. They settled on large fresh green prawns to take back to the restaurant to BBQ on the jetty.  It was an Asian inspired dish pairing the prawns with pork, which will feature on the menu at Sandstone Point Hotel.

Sandstone Point Hotel is located just before the turn off to Bribie Island and is open 7 days for lunch and dinner. The bistro prides itself on using fresh local produce with interesting flavour combinations, and with an idyllic alfresco setting, it’s a great spot to spend the day enjoying great food and wine with friends.  Plus they often have live music on weekends.

A more casual dining option is also catered for at Sandstone Point at The Oyster Shed, down on the waterfront. It’s also open 7 days from 11am to 8pm serving up everything from amazing seafood platters, to good old fish and chips.
