Summer Splash on Straddie

For Creek to Coast presenter Andrew Mirosch, one of his favourite ways spend the day is with his daughter Indigo, chasing Spanish mackerel around Point Lookout on North Stradbroke Island.

In Andrew’s words:

“I consider myself very lucky to have grown up on Straddie, with a grandmother who was willing to spend the time teaching me how to bait a hook and cast a rod.

Those early lessons grew into a life-long love of fishing and still to this day you’ll find me spending a fair chunk of my spare time trolling baits around the rocks and reefs off North Stradbroke’s Point Lookout.

And now I’m determined to pass those same lessons onto my kids, as well as a few new tricks I’ve learned along the way.”
