Gladstone Harbour boasts Queenslands largest continental island and despite its size, Curtis Island has been largely left untouched.
On the island there’s one small village for visitors to stay and stock up on supplies, and the rest of the island is made up of wind-sheared headlands, coastal heaths, and almost deserted beaches, perfect for 4WDing to some deserted fishing spots.
Pick the right tide and time of the day, and you’re likely to land a good catch of reef fish right off the beach!
