The Warwick Rodeo is held in October each year and is touted as Australia’s most famous. The country’s top riders come to town putting their talents to the test and thousands of punters watch on for a dust kickin’, boot tappin’ good time. The Gold Cup Camp Draft is held during the day and the event is known as the Melbourne Cup of the sport. Skilled riders and their horses guide cattle from the herd and through a set course in this uniquely Aussie event. Steve Hart is a competitor, along with his champion horse the Metallist. The Metallist’s sire, Metallic Cat, starred in the TV series Yellowstone. Come night fall, the Grand Entry Parade and Cowboy’s Prayer signal it’s time to rodeo! The Bareback Bronc Ride is a nail biting, 8 second highlight event and was won by champion Jarred McKane.
