It’s not just the tourists who flock to the Gold Coast in the Summer. From January until April you’ll find schools of black and blue marlin around 25 nautical miles east of Surfers Paradise.
In this story, we set out for some tag and release fishing fun. Bill fishing is the pinnacle of fishing for many and there are those who’ll argue that you’re not a true angler until you’ve landed a bill fish.
If you’ve been marlin fishing before, you’ll know that the time on deck is 95% boredom (passing the time with fishing tales of days gone by) and 5% mayhem – with all hands on deck!
