Colleges Crossing is in the Ipswich suburb of Chuwar. It’s a family friendly stretch of waterway that marks the last tidal stretch of the Brisbane River, and it’s a very accessible spot to wet a line for species like bass.
It’s also a popular spot for a paddle, and its shores are ideal for picnics and barbecues.
There are no shortage of facilities at Colleges Crossing for visitors who BYO, but there is also a wonderful café called Colleges by the River that takes full advantage of the lovely view.
