The Junior Ozfisher program has 10 challenges that kids can work towards to be rewarded with a native fish badge.
These challenges encourage kids to be thinking about fish habitat conservation, as well as maintaining fish stocks for future generations. Want to earn your Murray Cod badge? Well catch and release a fish, make sure you get a photo and submit it online. Your badge will be in the mail pronto!
The challenges aren’t just about fishing. You can earn your crab badge by building a fish hotel using bits and pieces from around the house…or maybe you want to go for a Wobbegong Walk, and collect rubbish at your local spot to make sure that rubbish doesn’t end up in a fish’s belly.
