Fancy a day on the water but lacking the gear…and the boat? Catch a Crab has you covered!
The two-and-a-half-hour cruise is an activity-based adventure, complete with pelican feeding, yabby pumping, fishing and of course catching crabs!
The boat ride takes in the spectacular scenery and wildlife along the Tweed River, where you’ll source your bait, throw in a line and a crab trap.
But the best is – you get to eat your catch too! The haul is cooked on board, then taken back for guests to try at the restaurant, the Oyster Shed.
It’s the perfect place to wrap up a day on the water, and sample some of the area’s other seafood delights.
The business operates the adjacent oyster farm too – you can’t get any fresher than that!
It’s truly a family affair at Catch a Crab. Dave runs the cruise, his brother farms the oysters and their parents before them started the business in 1994.
They pride themselves on getting everyone to have a go and making it a family friendly fun day out on the river.
