The Big Red Bash is the world’s most remote rock and roll concert and this year it featured musical legends Jimmy Barnes, Troy Casser-Daley and Paul Kelly to name just a few. The festival is set in the heart of the Simpson Desert and this week Roger Vickery is right in the midst of this outback action.
Well over seven thousand people have travelled from all over Australia and Roger finds three couples who have come over three thousand kilometres for the show!
As well as the finest Australian music, another famous entertainer is always present at this event. Big Red, the largest sand dune in Australia. In other words – a four wheel driver’s dream. For those brave enough to accept the challenge of making it to the top, pride and bragging rights are all on the line! Not only will your four wheel drive be put to the ultimate test but your patience will be too.
If you’d like to be a part of next year’s Big Red Bash, then head to the website. It truly is a celebration of the outback’s incredible beauty that you won’t want to miss.
