The South Passage Bar causes many boaties many troubles. It’s the largest bar in Queensland and is made even more treacherous by its ever-changing location. The sand can shift in a matter of hours, meaning the path you took to get out can be different when you come back in.
A good sounder and a second set of eyes is a must when crossing the bar. So Andrew has enlisted the help of Gordy from Garmin to make the crossing with him, on the way out for a day of fishing.
