Crossing the South Passage bar with Garmin

The South Passage Bar causes many boaties many troubles. It’s the largest bar in Queensland and is made even more treacherous by its ever-changing location. The sand can shift in a matter of hours, meaning the path you took to get out can be different when you come back in.

A good sounder and a second set of eyes is a must when crossing the bar. So Andrew has enlisted the help of Gordy from Garmin Australia to make the crossing with him, on the way out for a day of fishing.
