Doomadgee Special

Australia, it’s easy to see why we’re called the lucky country; we are blessed with some of the most diverse and picturesque landscapes, on this planet.

Join us as we explore the Gulf of Carpentaria, trekking into remote wilderness, all in the name of action and adventure!

This journey sees us explore, literally, the road less travelled. The remoteness of this place is what makes it so unique. It’s an area that’s often forgotten about travelers – until now.

The Carpentaria Land Council Aboriginal Corporation (CLCAC) plays in integral role in preserving this pristine piece of North West Queensland. We are lucky enough to meet a few of the members, who show us why they have such a strong connection to this sacred land.

Burketown is located west of Cairns, and spots like the Savannah Lodge or the Hells Gate Roadhouse are great options to stay when in town.

This is definitely a destination to place on the bucket list. Head to your local ARB store, who will happily set you up before you head out on your next adventure.
