If you’re reading this blog, chances are you love your fishing. You’re not alone, here at Creek to Coast we live and breathe being out on the water. Every day is a good day at our job. However, there is one thing that is guaranteed to make a fishing adventure more enjoyable, and that is good company. GC Suns legends Dave and Tom took a hard-earned rest day in the middle of their season, to hang out with us.
The team set off from Jacobs Well Boat Ramp just before sunrise with our guide Beau from Capns Charters. There are lots of flathead around at this time of year, but you’re also a chance of catching bream, tailor, tuna and jewfish.
Call it good luck, or a good guide and gear, but these boys proved to be as good at fishing as they are on the field. Tom reeled in the first flathead of the day, on his third cast. Tom’s first fish, netted on his fourth cast.
In lowlight conditions like this, you want a dark coloured lure, with a bright tail. Once the sun comes up, go for a clearer plastic. We stocked up on all our gear at BCF Labrador. This shop has an extended range, an extensive selection of lures and you can even get your reel spooled in store, at its specialist tackle workshop.
No matter what you’re fishing though, if you’re doing it in good company, you know you’re going to have an awesome day. |
