It’s time to hitch up the van and explore Queensland again!

Queensland is open for travel once again! With travel restrictions easing, drive journeys throughout our great state will be all the rage. There is no better time to hook up the van and head out into regions where tourism operators are ready to meet us all with open arms and open doors.

Local tourism has taken a fair hit over the past months, so now more than ever, we need to support those who put in such an effort to spruik our own backyard. Whether it be a day trip, an overnight adventure or something longer, don’t wait, just make that booking.

As far as a weekend getaway is concerned, you can’t look past our gorgeous coastline. Holiday Parks such as Ingenia Holidays Rivershore have recently reopened their doors to guests and can’t wait to welcome smiling faces back through their doors.

The park sits on the banks of the gorgeous Maroochy River, on a patch of land littered with spacious powered sites, two big pools with water slides to boot, and not to mention the stunning safari tents that take glamping to another level. It’s a great example of what is on offer for those needing a little getaway.

We also caught up with Josh from Brisbane Camperland to discuss what caravanners and campers can be doing right now to be ready.

“So might want to start considering servicing the van and making sure your brakes and bearings are all in tip-top condition before you head out with the family. The other things you might want to consider is starting to add a few of those extra additions, whether it’s a shade cloth awning side or, a new set of crockery or cutlery for the kitchen, whatever it is that you’ve been dreaming about and putting on hold for the next adventure now’s the time. Get out, buy your goodies and just be prepared for that next trip.”

The Caravanning Queensland website is a great place to clue up on what to do if you’re wanting to travel. Parks are opening at their own pace as well as adopting their own COVID-safe plans. Worth calling ahead to make sure you’re not disappointed.

So what can we say… get out there and just make that booking. It’s time for Queenslanders to travel Queensland. Happy adventuring!
