We’ve heard the Keppels called The Whitsundays without the airfare or stingers…and you know what, we’re inclined to agree with that!
If you’re unfamiliar, the Keppel Island group sits just off the coast of Yeppoon in the Capricorn Coast region. There are 18 islands in the group, with the largest being Great Keppel Island.
As you can imagine, the scope of aquatic activities is endless – from fishing and diving to SUPing or snorkeling. Why not hire a jetski and self-tour the islands? Or jump a charter like Funtastic so someone else can drive!
For those chasing something a bit more fast-paced, Keppel Explorer might be for you. Scotty is the owner and LOVES to go fast. His day tours cover most of the islands…and he does so by zooming between them all in his boat.
“It’s a beautiful spot, got a plethora of experiences, and the things we do in a day you could just keep going for days and days there’s so much to do”
As you could imagine, with so much maritime action in the bay, the Keppel Bay Marina is somewhat of a welcoming hub. All these amazing operators work out of it, but on land, the Marina is no slouch either!
Could we recommend a feed at Waterline? – the award-winning restaurant onsite that works absolute magic with the plethora of produce on offer.
You can check out everything available at the Marina by heading over to their website.
