Scotty’s PB Barra

When someone mentions fishing in Central Queensland; two species come to mind –  Threadfin Salmon and Barramundi. They are by far the most exciting and huge fish that patrol these warm salty waters.

The Fitzroy River (Tunuba) is famous for Barramundi, pronounced “bardda moon di” by the Darumbal people. This defines the Fitzroy River catchment as the genuine Home of the Barramundi in Australia.

We recently went out with Coby Pascoe from Hooked Fished Charters, who is the master at catching these monsters – helping people from around Australia bag a barra, by the boatload.  It’s common to see a metre plus barra, but to pull one up yourself… Well, that is pretty special!

See all the action of our recent fishing trip, plenty of fish, a threadfin salmon which we cook up for lunch using our BCF Gasmate… And yes, Scotty winds in a monster- is it his saltwater PB though? Watch the video below find out.
