Sunseeker Caravan Charity Auction with Trip In A Van

Could you imagine packing up your whole life and hitting the road, caravan in tow? That’s what Justin, Bec, Jack, Billy and Charli did six years ago and they haven’t looked back. You may know them by their online alias, Trip in a Van.

With over 200 thousand followers across their socials, Trip in a Van take great pleasure in educating their loyal followers.

“Yeah it was. It’s just that old saying, being stuck in a rut. Yes (on the hamster wheel) let’s get out of the rut, let’s change it up we’ve always wanted to travel, always been campers and fishers,” Justin says.

In their six years on the road, the touring way of life has vastly changed, Bec tells stories of how caravan manufacturers had no want for bunk vans, whereas nowadays there’s one in every lineup of every manufacturer making product for an ever-increasing, family-based demographic.

The current beast of a van that Bec and Justin tow is a Sunseeker Desert Storm. At 21 feet 6, there is room for the three kids, but as they have got older, Trip in a Van are going bigger, jumping into a new Sunseeker van that they had a hand in developing. Scotty caught up with them recently and had a sticky beak around their new pride and joy.

“The club lounge, we’re really excited to sit around (it) and eat together and do our school work…Oh and my pull-out bin. So that’s very exciting.”

There were a few models of this new Sunseeker made, one of which was recently auctioned off for a very good cause. With such an expansive range of family caravans, Sunseeker decided to partner with the Daniel Morcombe Foundation in a charity auction. At the recent Let’s Go Queensland Caravanning and Camping Supershow, Sunseeker put a brand new Trip in a Van – inspired Desert Storm up for auction, with all proceeds over the reserve price going to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. In short – $50,000 was donated. A superb effort from Sunseeker.

If you would like to support the Daniel Morcombe Foundation yourself, their website is the best spot to start. While you’re online you should check out the entire Sunseeker and Vision RV range on their websites. Your next family caravan might just be a click away.
