Locally owned Sweet Escape are well known for their yacht charters out of Hervey Bay, but their latest venture is a fishing charter on their brand new 3100 Kevlacat.
Offering half-day or full-day charters, they can even combine the two charters.
“We’re doing customised charters as well so we pick up from the yacht, drop you back to the yacht with fresh fish to cook that night,” Rohan says. “We can take up to ten passengers, that’d be two crew onboard and we go across the breaks to the top of Fraser Island or west out into the bay and the northern gutters.”
That’s the beauty of the Fraser Coast, there are so many different varieties of fishing to be had from reef to flats with species like Red Emporer, Coral Trout, Mahi Mahi, Yellowfin Tuna and plenty of other reef fish.
