The best father son moments on Creek to Coast

Ask any fisho where their love of fishing comes from and chances are they’ll say their mum, dad, grandma or pa.

Fishing for many families is more about the experience than actually catching fish. Simply spending time with your kids on the water create memories that last a lifetime.

With this in mind what chance do you reckon Scotty’s boys had, exactly next to none!

Scott’s sons, Ben and Bailey, have fished in places and caught species that many fishermen dream of. Many of which with their old man. From their young years fishing offshore from Ingham to nowadays, joining their dad in a couple of cracking Creek to Coast episodes. Two of which are recent.

Who remembers Bailey catching a beautiful Sailfish offshore from Airlie Beach. A few years back Scott and him jumped aboard Moonshine, a Blackwatch game boat captained by Chris from Whitsunday Fishing Charters. He, along with deckie Mick Marshall worked hard for a week to find the boys a billfish of some kind, as well as filling the esky with A-grade reef species. Catching a Sailfish with Dad, a memory the Bailey won’t soon forget.

For Ben, catching his PB Barra with Scotty is equally as exciting. Jumping aboard Aussie Barra Charters with Andrew Mead, in recent years Scotty and Ben caught close to two metres of the iconic Aussie sportsfish within two casts.

A high 80s model for Ben and of couse for Scotty 1 metre on the dot.
