The longest mountain bike decent in south east Queensland

Fresh mountain air… the wind beneath your wings… just you and 12,000 acres of pure biking bliss! If this has triggered your inner adventurer, well you’ll be pleased to hear you only have to travel to the City of Ipswich for this experience… welcome to Hidden Vale Adventure Park!

Drive an hour from Brisbane to the City of Ipswich and soon enough you’ll find yourself exploring their rugged trails that span over 100kms in length. But don’t be fooled if you think entry here is just for the elite… this place caters for all.

One way you can make an entrance to the park is with Pterodactyl Helicopters… you’ll give off serious Rockstar vibes to your opponents. Check out their website here to book.

On this particular day, we set out on the 500 Above trail with pro riders, Luke Radley and Ben Forbes. Some would even call them mountain bike royalty!

500 Above is the longest descent in southeast Queensland… if you were to crack 14 minutes, you’d be doing pretty well. And one way you can pick up a bit of speed is with an e-bike… you can hire them from the Hidden Vale shop before you hit the tracks.
