Tropical North Queensland with Caravanning Queensland

If you ask one hundred people what their ultimate road trip would be you’d more than likely get one hundred different answers. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What appeals to one person might not appeal to another.

However, if there’s one destination that has a little something for everyone then it’s definitely tropical North Queensland. From the bush to the beach, the surf to the turf and everything in between, your choices and options are limitless. And if you don’t know where to start or what to do, then the team at Caravanning Queensland are the best in the business.

They call themselves the voice of the Caravan Park Owners and manufacturers. The team are there to help with anything from servicing a van to tips and tricks when looking to purchase a new one. And they are more than happy to work with you to put together the ultimate caravanning journey.

Caravanning Queensland recently helped put together the ultimate road trip for the Creek to Coast team. Form the gold mining town of Charters Towers – about 90 minutes west of Townsville to the little hidden gem of a beach town called Rollingstone our trip had it all.

With the help of Andrew Mead from Aussie Barra Charters we also managed to land one of Australia’s best sport fish – a 96 centimetre Saltwater Barra. What a day.

The beautiful town of Bowen was the final leg of the team’s journey – where the locals couldn’t be more proud of their town. Home to the big mango, they call themselves the fruit and salad bowl of the north due to produce they export. It’s also home to some of the best and freshest seafood you can find anywhere. Literally from trawler to plate.

An epic journey topped off with a mango cocktail on the final night. North Queensland has so much to offer and there’s so many places off the beaten track that if you don’t go, you’ll never know.
