Pimp My Jetty is exactly what it sounds like; blinging up jetties along the canals of the Gold Coast with fish favorable structure.
This project is somewhat of an extension of the work Ozfish do in the shellfish restoration space. By using specially selected, bio-safe rope to create intricate structure off these jetties, it not only attracts juvenile fish, but also gives more structure for oysters to grow on. Oysters act as an unbelievably efficient filter for our waterways…so by that logic, the more oysters, the healthier the waterways.
