Ballandean Estate Wines is about 15 minutes from Stanthorpe, or three hours from Brisbane. It’s up where the air is cool and clean, and the wine is oh so scrumptious! The Puglisi family’s cellar door is open every day from 9am until 5pm for tastings, and if you’re lucky you can also take a peek in the barrel room. There’s also a new Elevated Tasting experience that will have you much better informed about wine.
With a couple of bottles of rich red packed in the car, there’s no better way to experience the Southern Downs in autumn – in fact any time of year – than camping by an open fire.

The team at ARB Springwood have decked out their show four wheel drive “Max” as a kitchen on wheels, with the power to run everything from a coffee maker to a toaster, microwave and induction cooker.
ARB is also known for its slide kitchen set up, that builds a cook top, sink and storage into a compact user-friendly design that can be set up in no time at all.
They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that will serve you well before exploring this adventure park. It has tracks winding all over its 700 acres.
New owner Lucas Bree says the terrain is pretty varied, from sedate to totally hair raising (looking at you Beer O Clock Hill).
“We had a Rav4 in here today. Standard, completely standard. And the young fella who was in that car had an absolute blast driving around the park,” says Lucas. “But everything from a stock standard Rav4 to a full comp spec truck, we cater for everything.”
The drive down Main Road to Love Hill is a very popular option, that ends with sweeping views across to Warwick, Leslie Dam and beyond. It’s the ideal spot to pull out a picnic lunch.
