An off-road adventure – only an hour from Brisbane
Owning a four-wheel drive allows you to discover miles of unexplored land, but you don’t always have to travel far to have an adventure.
Mount Mee is about an hour’s drive north of Brisbane and lies within the D’Aguilar National Park. It’s a scenic part of the world but also has some great off road tracks for four-wheel drivers, ranging from easy to difficult.
Vehicle permits are not required to drive along the forest trail drive, however, all vehicles must be registered and driven by a licensed driver. Whilst exploring the back roads you’ll find A-Break, a steep stretch of dirt track, which is where you’ll switch to low range.
Once you reach the top, travel a bit further along to Falls Lookout, where you’ll feel miles away from the city! We’ll just say the view is pretty impressive.
Don’t be afraid to get out an explore your own backyard! If you’d like to pick up any four-wheel driving gear or chat to an experienced driver, make sure you head to your local ARB store.
