Ugly Xmas Rashie

Are you one of the many that loves the soppy, romantic, comical Christmas movie?  The snowy Christmas scene of families wearing their much-loved ugly Xmas sweater is on trend but it’s a bit too hot for Australians to jump into this fashion look.   That’s what you think.

Cancer Council Queensland came up with a brilliant idea of creating The Ugly Xmas Rashie, now you can into the spirit and look all Ugly Christmassy and win/win you are protecting your skin and supporting a great cause.

Two in three Australians are diagnosed with skin cancer by age of 70. That is a shocking static and there are ways to prevent being one of the two, support research and be on trend.   Look good and be good.

Scotty found the form fitting rashie extremely comfortable, he looked good, but he wouldn’t take our word for it and needed the advice of people that spend a lot of time on the beach, introducing the nippers of BMD Northcliffe Surf Club…little legends and fashion advisors.  They all agreed that the latest Koala Rashie is ugly in the best possible way.

Oh and you can get cycle jerseys this year too…it doesn’t take much to be protected in the sun.

Cancer Council recommends a combination of sun protection measures:

  • Slip on some sun-protective clothing – that covers as much skin as possible
    •  Slop on minimum SPF30, broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen. Put it on 20      minutes before you go outdoors and every two hours afterwards. Sunscreen should  never be used to extend the time you spend in the sun.
    •  Slap on a hat – that protects your face, head, neck and ears
    •  Seek shade
    •  Slide on some sunglasses – make sure they meet Australian standards.

Don’t wait till Christmas get your sun safety sorted this Summer and wear or Ugly Xmas Rashie or Jersey.
