GME EPIRB

When you’re out on the water there’s one piece of safety equipment you just can’t do without; an EPIRB or Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon. In an emergency situation it may be your only means of contacting the authorities and being rescued.

It’s important that it is maintained and tested to make sure it works when you really need it. If your EPIRB has expired you may want to consider upgrading to a GME GPS equipped EPIRB. It’ll give the authorities an accurate location within minutes instead of hours. There is also the advantage of greater accuracy with GPS as it creates a search area the size of a football field instead of the 5 kilometre radius of non GPS EPIRBS.

To check out the GME range head into your local BCF store.
