Rainbow Beach

For some it’s a gateway to the beautiful Fraser Island, for others it’s a vibrant beach town brimming with activity. However you look at it, Rainbow Beach is a spot that ticks so many boxes for so many people.

The township itself is a lovely mix of relaxed beach vibe and excitement.

There are a range of accommodation options available. You can of course camp on the beautiful Inskip Point or Double Island Point. There are also a couple of really good caravan parks in the area and if you want to step it up a notch there are a variety of luxury apartment options.

Rainbow Sea Resort is one of them. Sitting next to Carlow Sand Blow, the ocean-facing units offer amazing views out past Fraser Island. The lovely Nigel and Fiona run the place and are huge advocates for the area.

“Any time of year is fantastic… but the vista in winter is fantastic – the sunrises, the sunsets… the opportunity to see whales from the beach out the front… Well worth it!”

If you’re in need of a little morning caffeination, Carly runs the recently renovated and rejuvenated Little Parliament Café. Featuring beautiful local products and cuisine as well as a coffee that will certainly put a pep in your step, it’s the perfect place to fill the tanks in the morning.

Rainbow Beach is beautiful all year round, so if you haven’t already, why not pop it on the list for a weekend away.
