Sustainable Fishing on the Sunny Coast

Sustainability has become a buzzword of recent – people are becoming more aware of their individual impact on the environment and things they can do to minimise their footprint – whether it be power consumption, going carbon neutral or helping the waterways they fish in.

SCF is a community based fishing group – which stands for
Sustainable fishing, Clean waterways and Future generations; they tick all the boxes of “doing the right thing” when fishing – and the boys can fish too!

With the help of their app, which collects data about the health of the waterways, we headed offshore to Barwon Banks, about 35km’s offshore from Mooloolaba – the fishing was red hot!!

Chasing Amberjacks the lads we’re right on the money from the moment they dropped in – multiple double hookups and loads of sting pulled – excitement central!! See the video for all the hits and excitement.

SCF are member based group and you can support all the great work they do by subscribing with a membership here.
