It’s important to get the most out of your engine at the best of times, but when you’re towing a trailer, boat, or going all out with a caravan… things kick up a gear.
A simple and effective way to enhance your engine’s performance is with a Steinbauer Power Module from Diesel Care Dalby. It’s a programmable electronic computer module designed to maximise output.
According to Gavin Bradford of Diesel Care in Dalby, installation is simple enough.
“We plug in on each of the injectors and the boost pressure sensor,” he said. “And we’re controlling the opening time of the injector so when there’s a load that comes on the engine, we’ll lengthen the time the injector’s open.”
“We’re going to give you up to another 20 per cent more power and torque.”
The device doesn’t change the engine ECU; it stays as standard. It’s plugged in after and manipulates signals from the engine ECU through the control unit.
Roger Vickery set up a real-world experiment, taking two identical vehicles hauling caravans on the road… his fitted with the module–the other without.
Needless to say, Roger’s vehicle came up trumps at the first incline.
