The best beer on Straddie

Here’s a question, who’s Dad loves a cold beer on a weekend? I dare say a fair few do! We all have our favourites, but if you’re looking to try something new for Father’s Day this year, how about giving Straddie Brewing Co a crack? The idea was born from a love of North Stradbroke Island, or Minjerribah. A few close mates thought the beautiful island paradise needed a beer to go with it. Subsequently, Straddie Brewing now produce seven varieties of beer, all appropriately named in honour of certain spots on the island.

From the Point Lookout Lagar to an Amity Pale Ale, or maybe a Dunwich Saison for something a bit different, the range is extensive.

You can find the beers at the Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel, as well as …drum roll please…. Coming soon to their new brewery on the island. Kokomo, one niche little bar on the island is another stockiest of the beers as well as a raft of other gorgeous local produce.

Think local prawns, bug rolls, seasonal tapas and the best the Redlands Coast has to offer, all rolled into a menu that combines Aussie relaxation with a bit of Balinese flair.
