Van Friendly National Parks

There are plenty of national parks in Southeast Queensland that cater for caravans and camper trailers.

Several of the beach and bush locations are only accessible by four-wheel drive and off-road campers, but the Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing has a website that specifies each of its campsites, and the facilities and limitations.

Van-friendly options include Bribie Island National Park and Recreation Area; the Great Sandy National Park; Conondale National Park; and Bunya Mountains National Park.
Bookings for these and many more, and information about permits can be accessed at npsr.qld.gov.au
