2020 Variety Bash Adventure

If you’re into off-road adventuring around Australia, then there is a very good chance that you are familiar with the drive events that Variety, the childrens charity, puts on each year.

In Queensland, the Variety team hangs its hats on two biggies… the Variety Bash (for vehicles that are 30 years or older) and the Variety 4WD Adventure, that takes fourbies into less chartered territories.

Unfortunately, the arrival of a certain virus meant that the very involved preparations for both of these events just couldn’t happen this year, and they’ve both been postponed until 2021.

BUT here’s the good news! Variety has created a shortened 6-day trip, planned for November, that is open to EVERYONE. It’s called the Variety Bash Adventure.

As Event Director Craig Marriott explains, this year we’ve lifted all those restrictions, so that anyone who’s ever wanted to think about doing a bash can come and have a crack. You can bring along your four-wheel drive, your two-wheel drive, your SUV, anything you want to bring along.”

It’s six days on the road together from Bundaberg, with overnight stays in Miles, Roma, Mitchell, Nindigully and Kingaroy, before teams cross the finish line in Noosa and enjoy a celebration of their efforts. Just don’t expect to see them spending much time on the blacktop!

Not only will participants be supporting Aussie kids who are in need – with their fundraising dollars – but they will also be spending with small businesses in regional communities that could really do with the support.

So if this is one of your bucket list items, now is the time to get involved! There is an early bird discount for entries that register before the end of July.

The 2020 Variety Bash Adventure will be held from November 9-14. It’s Bundaberg to Noosa via Nindigully, and to register or to find out more simply visit their website.
