Motor Up with Mater

Over the last few years, we’ve noticed many Aussies taking the leap and buying that boat, caravan, or 4×4 that they’ve always wanted. As domestic tourism booms, we’re all looking for those adventure-machines that can help us in exploring more of our own backyard. Well, you can add motorbikes to that list too! And you know what, the team from Mater’s Cars for Cancer has jumped on that trend too!

Their latest prize draw includes a brand-spanking-new KTM 250 EXC-F bike. We thought it was only right to test out the same model (don’t worry, yours is still all clean and shiny) through the Glass House Mountains with one of the Sunny Coast’s best guides, John Ingham.

“I’ve been riding KTM since 1997, so I know them pretty well. I’ve had about 50 of them. Is that all! When you don’t think a bike can get any better, all of a sudden it does. As you’re finding out, today’s modern trail bikes, if you have that little bit of experience, you can just jump on them and ride them,” says John.

As we know, Mater Lotteries do not do things in halves, so there is much, MUCH more to this prize draw than the KTM alone. There are three draws, and with the purchase of one, $30 ticket, you could be in the running for all three.

One draw includes a brand new Toyota Rav4 with a stand-up paddleboard on the roof for good measure. Then the second, along with the KTM, comes a new Toyota Hilux Rugged X, because you can’t have a dirt bike without something to put it on!

The cream on top? Nothing short of a new Toyota Prado Kakadu towing a Coromal Thrillseeker caravan so you can hit the road and explore!

This current prize will be drawn on July 20, so best get in quick! Get your tickets here!
