An East Coast Easter

It doesn’t matter where you’re heading, every great journey starts at your local BCF. It’s there that the friendly staff can share their local expertise when it comes to boating, fishing and camping. It’s also the place where you can find all the gear you’ll need to have a fun, and safe, outdoor adventure.

Once you’re fully stocked with everything you need, a great place to head is Lake Monduran. It’s a short drive from the town of Gin Gin, just inland from Bundaberg. It is the closest stocked barramundi impoundment to Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, and Sam Rowley’s ‘Monday Man’ Lake Monduran Fishing Charters is your best bet for success. He knows the over 600kms of shoreline like the back of his hand and he’s been catching barramundi in the lake for years.

If you’re into your camping and four-wheel driving, then the Burrum Coast National Park is the perfect destination. It’s filled with awesome scenery, beaches as far as the eye can see and plenty of opportunities for 4WDing fun. Camping is permitted in the Woodgate and Kinkuna sections of the park but in the Kinkuna section you will need to be fully self-sufficient as there are no amenities.
