Stunning Sarabah Stud

The sound of cicadas is synonymous with a hot summer’s day in South East Queensland. This rings true at Sarabah Stud, a 500 acre cattle farm, converted for a special purpose. This Hip Camp has been carefully designed for campers to enjoy the sounds and scenery that Tambourine Mountain has to offer.

Just an hour from Brisbane and 40 minutes from the Gold Coast, it is perfect for a weekend getaway. Without travelling too far, you’ll feel like you’ve left the hustle and bustle of the city behind, but you’re still just around the corner from restaurants and wineries.

Its six sites are scattered along the Canungra Creek, with a communal swimming spot for all guests to enjoy. If you’re lucky you might even spot a platypus in the water. Keep a close eye out in the late afternoons and early mornings, when they’re most likely to be seen.

Robert runs the campsites, while his mother works the cattle farm. This property has been in their family for around five decades and they are proud to share it with the rest of the world. To book your stay at Sarabah Stud, click here.
