Wagner’s It’s a Bloke Thing Foundation is a not for profit organization that educates men about prostate cancer. One of the ways they do this is with their roadshow. The roadshow is led by educator Ruth Logan, who travels in her ute around Queensland and the northern territory. She has visited 65 towns throughout Queensland and the Northern Territory and she’s driven over 95,000kms in 2 years!
It’s essential work because 1 in 6 Australian males will be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer by their 85th Birthday and 3152 Australian males died from Prostate Cancer in 2020.
Early detection has been proven to save lives as 95% of males diagnosed with early stage Prostate Cancer are expected to survive at least 5 years.
