Your BCF Easter Itinerary

With Easter holidays just around the corner, we reckon any day on the beach is a good one, as do Liz and her surfing mate Luke Munroe.

They recently took their kids for a day at Coolangatta’s Kirra Beach and had a successful fishing session thanks in part to their Junior Kids Fishing Combo.

“These Neo Juniors seem to be doing really well today I mean they’re not missing a beat out there,” Liz commented.

“They’re actually really surprising, normally these kids ones are pretty gimmicky but that was a decent flathead that my son just caught and it handled fine!”

When it comes to bait, Luke’s weapon of choice is the humble beach worm which along with the Flathead also ended up catching whiting and dart.

Of course, the best bit about using kids reels is that fact they’re able to do all the work.

“It makes it really exciting when the kids can reel it in themselves,” Liz beamed. “They’re holding the rod, they’re hands on.”

“Experiences like this are so educational for the kids… like today he’s learning about what’s on his plate, how it’s gathered, different types of species of fish, these are moments you want to be sharing with your children.”

BCF has plenty more great beach gear to keep the family comfortable for those long hot days on the sand.

Liz and Luke had the kids comfortable in the Wanderer Moon Chair and Wanderer Directors Chair and in plenty of shade thanks to the Wanderer Warlukurlangu Beach Shelter.

Finally the group carted it all around with ease thanks to the Wanderer Kids Cart. All this can be found at your local BCF, so drop on by!
