Volunteer Marine Rescue Brisbane or VMR Brisbane, is a non profit volunteer organisation that provides marine search and rescue services to the boating public in Moreton Bay and the surrounding waterways.
As the name suggests, it’s staffed by a team of passionate volunteers who give their time and expertise to keep local waterways safe.
Their primary objective is search and rescue but they can also tow boats that have damaged engines for instance.
Waterside Assist costs just $88 a year and provides great peace of mind when on the water. It includes up to two hours of towing and VMR’s Log On and Log Off monitoring service.
